Custom Home Builder in Post Falls, Idaho

Post Falls sits on the Spokane River between Coeur d’Alene and the Washington line. Of everywhere we build, it is the closest to Spokane and the airport — which makes it the practical choice for people who commute west or travel often and still want to live in Idaho.

The river, and the commute

The Spokane River runs right through town, with Q’emiln Park and the falls at its center. Interstate 90 is the artery: Coeur d’Alene is about fifteen minutes east, Spokane International is around half an hour west. That combination — Idaho address, Washington access — is most of why people choose Post Falls specifically.

What building in Post Falls involves

Post Falls is more developed than our areas further north, so more of it is on city water and sewer, and lots tend to be smaller and more level. That usually makes site work simpler and more predictable than a wooded five-acre parcel. Permitting runs through Kootenai County and the city depending on where the parcel sits.

The winter envelope still matters. Post Falls sees the same cold as the rest of the Panhandle, and an envelope built properly is quieter and cheaper to heat whether it sits on a city lot or on acreage.

Start from a plan, or a clean sheet

You can begin with one of our four signature plans — Stonepine, Whisper Ridge, Fernhill or Alderstone — and tailor it to your land, or start from nothing at all. Either way the home is built in-house by our own crews, to the same standard: ten-foot ceilings, nine-foot solid Alder doors, natural stone and timber, full-height stone and quartz counters, and a high-performance envelope built for North Idaho winters.

How we work

We walk the property before we draw a line, design to your budget from the start, and carry the build in-house from the first sketch to the final walkthrough — one crew, one point of accountability. Our building process lays out all seven stages.

If you want more land than Post Falls typically offers, Rathdrum and Athol are a short drive north. If you are early in the process, what it costs to build here is the most useful place to start. Tell us about your project.
